The Winter Solstice is a bikepacking route (or a really long day in the saddle) through The Otways Region of Victoria taking in the wonderful scenery that this area offers and the coastal or hinterland towns of Lavers Hill, Beech Forest, Lorne & Anglesea.
Devised by Matt Seehusen, The Winter Solstice runs as a self-supported, non-official event, every year in June, starting in Warrnambool and culminating at Waurn Ponds.
It’s a fantastic route and an absolutely fantastic event that really captures the best parts of this region as inspired by a local.
It’s available to ride anytime and it’s something you may fancy in the warmer months.
