Part of Melbourne Randonneur’s & Audax’ “Mixed Terrain Series”, Search for the Bunyip kicks off the start of Melbourne’s spring gravel season running an Audax event featured in October.

Don’t let that stop you though, these roads are superb all year round taking in the rolling gravel hills through Bunyip State Park into Gembrook, around to Pakenham, Nar Nar Goon and Tynong.

The route conveniently starts at Sherwood Park Orchard Cafe so you can get your caffeine hit before the wheels start spinning and Gembrook is a fantastic place to stop for lunch. The bakery does great coffee and has some good recharge food also.

As always, we encourage you to check out and join in all the rides that Audax has on offer. A wonderful non-profit organisation run by volunteers who help make cycling accessible to all.
