This Giro Tasmania Route is an ambassador route supported and hosted by Bicycle Network Tasmania.
Bicycle Network is a not-for-profit organisation. Becoming a Member, joining our events and making a donation means you’re supporting our behaviour change and advocacy initiatives. Our mission is to make it easier for everyone to ride a bike, every day.
From Bicycle Network: “Australia’s island state of Tasmania is compact, diverse and ideal for cycle touring. It has a temperate climate and loads of contrasts, from white sand deserted beaches, to rugged mountains and rain forests, wild rivers, and historic villages. More than 20% of the state is national park and much of that is listed as world heritage.
It is a long standing tradition for cycle tourists to do a full circuit of Tasmania, known as the Giro Tasmania, and usually approached as a three week trip. We have now captured the Giro in two Ambassador Routes.“
