This route is a mixed terrain Audax ride that features every year in April starting in Yea, Victoria.
Starting on The Great Victorian Rail Trail and through the Cheviot Tunnel, you get a nice 20km gravel lead out to warm up the legs before you begin to climb Molesworth Hill which is a spectacular gravel climb over approximately 14km’s and around 3%.
Descend and loop around via the way of Ghin Ghin and the quiet and scenic Ghin Ghin Rd back into Yea where you can grab a coffee, lunch or top up your bottles.
The second loop takes you out to Black Range State Forest which features another gorgeous gravel climb of similar qualities to the first, however this time with a rainforest landscape featuring ferns and tall gums. Descend on gravel before rolling back into town.
